Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It has shiny fish-like scales and loves water.

And look! It has gotten bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling saw fishermen using shiny lures with sharp hooks cast from their fishing poles. She was appalled by how each time an unsuspecting fish was snagged on the hooks, a fierce battle ensued which hurt the fish; she was further dismayed to see that even fish that got away died shortly afterward from their injuries. Since then, she has fought back for the fish.

Phyzhloore simply bites hard on fishing lines, normally breaking them wherever she finds them. Occasionally the line does not break immediately, so she dives down with the line tight in her teeth. Startled fishermen either lose their grips on the poles or take a sudden dive. Phyzhloore displays all the fishing poles she has collected this way as trophies in her lair.
