Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Like most other Sunsongs, Gwyltherin soon learned to enjoy sunbathing. She is a pacifist and playful female. In her childhood, she usually stayed clear of the fiery Ifrit and Helreithana, as their temper somewhat scared her a little bit. Of course, she eventually grew accustomed to them.

As a hatchling, complicity grew between her end her elders, Amaterasu and Sheyla Nirala. Before Gwyltherin Dei Strella grew wings, Amaterasu often used her abilities to make the young dragon levitate, allowing her to reach the sun's light easier and allowing her to "feel" what it's like to fly. Sheyla liked the sun as much as Gwyltherin did, and so they understood how each other felt very well.

Eventually, Gwyltherin became quite fond of Solrey Faneth, the dayglory drake. Unfortunately, drakes can only breed with other drakes, so they could never procreate. Still, that didn't stop our two lovers to pass almost every minute of every day together. They can often be seen dancing in the air, under the sun.
