Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Her name means "To Shine" in Japanese. Terasu is the result of a brief fling that Doumedaru and Netsuai had. By the time that Terasu's egg was laid, her parents had already split up. She was raised by both her parents, even though they weren't together. Her Aunt Aizenmyouou also helped. Terasu is a very sweet dragon, and has never allowed her rough beginning to hurt her. She loves to socialize, and is just a little bit of a gossip. She loves to spread rumors about potential courtships that might be going on. She is also a very beautiful dragon, and spends many hours a day preening and polishing her scales to a coppery shine. She is mated to Houshu, a handsome male Geode, who she loves terribly. They make a very gorgeous couple, her shining like a precious metal, and him glittering like a precious gem. They met at a social event, where they caught each others eye. They began courting, and shortly after, became mates. They are madly in love, and always will be.
