Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Sol is an adventurous and brave little dragon. She often leaves the safety of the cave to go exploring in the nearby woods. As fun as this may seem, wandering about alone is very dangerous for a dragon whose glistening golden scales are highly sought for by greedy humans. There were many close calls when Sol was nearly captured and whisked off to a black market.
