Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sabrathan is named after the ruling angel of the first hour of the night. Sabrathan is most active during the evening, like most of her kind. As the sun drops behind the horizon, Sabrathan stops whatever she's doing to watch it disappear, and starts to sing the traditional mourning song that all of her kind knows by heart. The gentle crooning of her voice calms all animals within hearing range, and even the busiest of them stop for a second to listen in wonder. Sabrathan bonded with Peliel, another Sunset female. Together, they hunt, play, and sing and are rarely seen apart. Although Sabrathan has no reservations about eating anything that crosses her path, Peliel won't eat other female creatures. Sabrathan respects Peliel too much to quarrel with her about it. Sabrathan, along with Peliel, is the ruling dragon in the cave. They are the head of the Council of Angels, more commonly know as the council or 'angels'. The council is the first eight in the cave.
