Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

A few years ago, some meathead thought it would be a HILARIOUS idea to release a frozen baby Baikala into the local well to scare their sibling. Lucky for the hatchling and unlucky for everyone else, turns out that the local well is connected to a bunch of underwater caves and this little monster seemingly delights in the mayhem it causes. Multiple attempts have been made to get the hatchling out of the waterways to no avail. Fishing poles and traps get snapped, cats and dogs go missing, and bath-takers and unsuspecting swimmers get bricks scared clean out of them. Given the nickname Nanahag, out of an rumor that she's particularly fond of harassing someone's grandma, is clever enough to not threaten any humans and summon serious hunters to come and eradicate her.
