Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The female leader of the Clan of Black Dragons.  Her Mate was killed during a battle with a pack of sky wings.<br/>According to tradition, when the current leader of the clan retires, the strongest male and the strongest female take over in their place.  Six years ago, Tal, Nu Huangs father and the previous leader, announced that he was going to end his reign.  The clan was appalled; this meant that Yiin, an outcast, was heir to rule.  The elders of the clan decided to make a small break in tradition to stop Yiin from ruling, with mixed opinions.  While some welcomed Nu Huang as their leader, many felt that it was a betrayal to the clan.<br/>Nu Huang is very devoted to the clan. She would do anything to prevent it from dying, no matter what it would take. She is a bit naive, however, and a certain red dragon uses this against her to use her clan for her own benefit. She hates feeling scorn from many of her clan.
