Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

In her own less than humble opinion, her ancestry had lots to recommend it! Sure, some records might not look so tidy when pasted on the wall, but the history itself was fascinating; a shadow walker grandfather, from whom she had doubtless gained her ability to make herself go unseen, one of the marvelous frill dragons for her mother, and many shining golden dragons besides! Yes, she was very proud of her family, eccentric and lovable as they were--but unfortunately her new owner didn't agree with her verdict. The sorceress who had volunteered to act as her mentor took one look at her lineage records, snorted "pitiful pedigree, but I suppose one can't build a sunsong army if they're picky," and walked away! Outraged by this indignity, the sunsong has since spent a sizable portion of her time playing pranks on the snob (although never anything too terrible; after all, snobbiness aside, she still taught her quite a lot about magic!).
