Cassare Dragons are known for their magic-deadening abilities. Though not a conscious ability, a large field surrounds the dragon through which magic is passively nullified. This field is strongest near the dragon itself, and falls off with distance. The absence of magic often makes other creatures avoid them, though some will have the opposite reaction and seek refuge instead. It has also caused them to be hunted, as though the field is severely weakened once dead, their bones and scales retain some of the effect. Possessing such an item is considered a necessity by those who expect to face hostile magic.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Nihito was always an easygoing dragon. Her life seemed a whole lot easier if she just accepted the changes and moved on. Fussing over every little thing wouldn't solve anything, and it just brought her unneeded stress. Over time, humans began to create their settlements closer and closer to her cave. Their construction and loud nature drove the prey away from her. So she decided that she would simply adapt and try to fit in with them. To stay fed, she got herself something that the humans called a "job". The humans bring her food and pay her bits of gold whenever she works.

Unfortunately, her job is perhaps the most tedious thing she's ever done. She enters a boring building, sits behind a boring desk, and does paperwork for hours on end. The only way to avoid being miserable is for her to think about her past, how much fun she used to have, flying up mountains and then diving down. She misses the feeling of the wind against her scales greatly. But this is just her life now.
