Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It must be very shy since it keeps hiding from you.

It’s gotten slightly bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Mystia is the oldest dragon on Ardeo's scroll, surpassing the other dragon's ages by far—despite his appearance. He is respected by the others, even though none of them really pay him much attention excluding Wynnie, his fellow mint, and Paperlily, the only other dragon who will forever remain a hatchling. He admires Wynnie, and sometimes wishes that he could've grown to adulthood also—if only to spend more time with her. He doesn't resent Darinak, her mate, especially since he's the second oldest. Mystia generally keeps to himself, and occasionally watches the other hatchlings with Paperlily.
