Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Black Tea With Sugar and her mate, Black Tea With Honey, have forced a rather chaotic upheaval within the weyr with their arrival. Of course, it was an uprising for the better—massive flocks of butterflies began to follow in their wake, providing food for not only them, but the rest of their insectivore brothers and sisters as well.
As it is, even more dragons stay within the immediate vicinity of the weyr now, instead of roaming for their meals. No longer capable of supporting the very delicate balance of population within the cave, the Stones, Pebbles, and Geodes rumbled into action to expand the weyr in every way possible.
Sugar herself is quite quiet and matronly, teaching the hatchlings drawn to her by her sweet scent about strength through play-wrestling. Many of the young ones under her tutelage grow into warriors or powerful hunters; thanks to her fine knowledge of anatomy and the working of muscles, they have a head start at keeping their bodies in tip-top shape.
