Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The Queen of Molybdenum's dragons, Summer is kind and friendly. All of Molybdenum's dragons look to her for guidance and reassurance. She loves to bask in the sun, and she never tires of warm weather. Her favourite pastime is to curl up on a warm beach and watch the sun move across the sky. Summer is the mother of many proud seasonals, and a pink dragon who her husband forced her to give up. The pink dragon's whereabouts are currently unknown, but it is clear his father was not Sun. Because he was born before the wedding, there is no ill will between the Queen and King. Instead, they love each other very much, and they hate being apart. Summer took the traditional name for a Minor Queen (leader of only one user's dragons), as did her husband Sun. One of her best friends is Goldie, though her children are terrified of the powerful mage.
