Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Opalta was never good at making friends. She was born with a strange blue-gray marking on her forehead, and was jeered for it as a child. As she grew up, she vowed to become one of the most powerful magi dragons in the land. She trained rigorously, practicing her magic constantly. She traveled far distances to visit the some of the most powerful elders of Tvetlia and learned all she could from them. Eventually, she became one of the most powerful magi dragons in Tvetlia. She used her powers for good and not evil, however, other dragons feared her and would refuse to go anyway near her. Overcome with loneliness, she traveled across the countryside, eventually coming across an old stone castle. Within the rubble she discovered a broken statue of a dragon. She reanimated it, and it became a Stone Dragon. She named it Stone Sister, and she is Opalta's only friend.
