Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The Lord of Summer has always been a hatchling ever since coming to the caves. No one knows for sure where he came from, but he came with three others. Each of them claim to be the Lord of one of the four seasons, though no one believes them.

The Lord of Summer is a lazy hatchling. He lazes around all day in the heat, and likes sleeping in the shade. The only time he comes alive is around water. He loves to take refreshing swims, and delights in swimming with others.
