Valentine eggs are only seen once a year. Adults’ mating seasons are very short, usually spanning a few weeks in the mid-to-late winter. These dragons were once reputed to be omens of good luck in love.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A rather playful and easygoing dragon, Shojohi loves the connotations that are associated with her breed. She will often talk with other dragons in the clan to find out about budding romances, and will just happen to coincidentally be spotted by the dragons when they are spending time together, leading them to believe they will be lucky in love. Shojohi is a dreamer at heart, and because she adores seeing happy couples, she does hope her future mate will be as much of a romantic as she is.
