Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

To uphold the family honour, MetallicStone was nominated to be the 'keeper of the young ones'. Due to the values of Copper Dragons surrounding looking after hatchlings and the like, this position was essential in continuing the discipline other dragons would face in order to keep the large group as closely-knit as possible. MetallicStone was the optimum for the job: he's kind, gentle, and always puts young ones' needs above his own. He is proud to be of the Verdigris descent, and has noted that a certain 'normal' Copper likes to observe him from afar, which—though MetallicStone is no narcissist—he thrives in, putting on highly maneuverable flying shows which are arguably not just for the hatchlings to watch.

If he ever gets enough confidence, maybe he'll approach that dashing dragon—he believes the other's name to be MetallicJeopardy—instead of skirting around the edge by ways of showing off.
