Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Siannah, along with her adopted sister Haltazar, are the Nightwatch dragons of the horde. They are active only at night and generally patrol the many caves of the horde and make sure that things are going well. While the two did not ask for this responsibility, they do enjoy it, though some can't understand why.

Sia is a protective and fiery soul with enough courage for twelve dragons. She does her rounds with pride, protecting the horde with near limitless vigor and intensity. While some horde members may have negative views on the Numeratis vampires, Siannah is actually in good standing with the more pleasant ones, and has even fallen in love with one. Fierar is her one and only, and the pair are desperately smitten. They've kept it a secret, but Haltazar and Fierar's two closest siblings, Cero and Mortales, both know. While Halta is skeptical of it, Cero and Morta both endorse the relationship wholeheartedly, and will often cover for Fierar so that he can go to his love.
