Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gilithiin isn't an actual word in the language of Gilquine. It is part of a two-word phrase, which is "Gilithiin Kesquase" meaning "Fast as the Wind". So in effect Gilithiin isn't a word, only half a phrase, but when translated to English the general meaning is obvious.

Spending little time interacting with other dragons unless they challenge him to a race, Gilithiin seems a completely stereotypical Whiptail Dragon. His want of everything to match his speed, he often grows impatient at steady processes, shown by habits such as playfully nudging unborn eggs, believing it will cause them to emerge faster. He is also rather arrogant, believing no-one can match his speed. It is not at all a secret that the other dragons wish more than anything for him to be beaten at a race, but not even the speedy pink dragon Zelvei can catch up to him. Till then, they will just have to put up with his annoying presence.
