Magi Dragons are, as their name suggests, primarily magic users. They rarely use physical forms of attack. They eat anything they can kill, which is almost everything. They won’t kill unprovoked except when hunting, although they may kill humans if in danger. Their strong magic makes them one of the most feared breeds of dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Salayen, daugher of Senenar and Salyan, is a Magi dragon of significant power. She is remarkably skilled with the finest applications of mental magic, able to penetrate minds with needle-sharp rays of her own conciousness and disable or destroy opponents from afar, bypassing magical shields in a remarkable attack. However, she knows the potential of corruption in such powers, the temptation to control others. As a result, she rarely utilizes her formidable skill, preferring more conventional means in all but the most dire cases.

Salayen is married to Silorar, another Magi dragon. He is not as powerful as her, nor does he have her special talents, but he posesses a bright personality and powerful spirit. The two work together alongside Numorair, Salayen applying her mental prowess to scientific problems, aiding in the creation of some Nomorair's most brilliant theories.
