Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Mirit is hyperactive and loves to talk. She has no control over her telepathy and it is impossible to have a private discussion with her. She always needs to be on the move, and even in her sleep, she kicks at the air and rolls around, waking up everyone around her. Dragons who try to sleep around her are also constantly being awoken by her incessant telepathic chatter. The only dragon who can stand to be around her for longer than an hour is Ian, and as such, he is her best friend. Both of them have developed crushes on Altgrave Ezra, much to the ember's annoyance. She and Ian can often be found in Ezra's territory, taking small trinkets to fawn over, climbing on larger items that they can't move, and generally making a mess of everything.
