This breed of dragon was thought to exist only in legend. Although their name varies between cultures, they are often referred to as “Guardians of Nature.” They are able to channel the forces of fire, ice and lightning, which allows them to wield tremendous power. Seen very rarely, it is thought that they only become active when something is threatening the territory they have chosen to guard. In order to protect their chosen home, these dragons are incredibly adaptable; they have been seen everywhere from remote mountain ranges, to ancient forests, to the darkest depths of the ocean.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. At the time of Fire's birth, the Anu clan was celebrating a monumental anniversary. The dragons had gathered together near the cave that housed the clan at its creation. The magma, thunder, and ice dragons were performing a spectacular tribute when a field spontaneously burst into flame. Fire's egg was found when the flames settled. She was named Fire of Unknown Origin for this bizarre appearance. As a hatchling, it was soon apparent that she possessed an incredible magical talent. Fire, ice, and lightning were hers for the manipulating, though she was a danger even to herself until she learned to master them. Mysterious and intimidating, Fire is somewhat of an enigma. She is believed now to be a legendary Guardian of Nature. It is thought that Fire was summoned to aid the clan in its need. The ancestral land is being torn apart by a violent clan war, and her appearance is too vital to be merely a coincidence.
