Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Spyro's Cynder, or simply Cynder, is a powerful and majestic beast. Some say that her egg was tampered with, and she was raised as a rather evil and unloving creature. However, as time passed on, she began to feel guilty for wronging other dragons. When she met Cynder's Spyro, he changed her. She finally felt like herself again in his presence. She has developed a more flavorful personality since her conversion. She is very clever, and also quite brave. She's not one to be bossed around. However, she has a strong protective bond with those she loves, and she mostly listens to them.
