Royal Blue dragons are a nocturnal breed who prefer to live high in the mountains near slow-moving water that reflects the night sky. Although quite capable of defending themselves, they are peaceful by nature and will avoid a fight whenever possible.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon abhors pet names. The greatest offender in his mind is the human member of his clan, Herk, who not only shamelessly shortens her dragons' names when talking to them but loses all dignity when her wife from a far away clan visits. "Beloved", "Dear", "Habibi" and worst of all "Dimples" are all affectionate monikers she has used in the past. Dimar seems to like this about as much as this dragon, and he has taken it upon himself to remind Herk of the appropriate form of address every time she screws up with a very vehement cry of "Dimarrrrr!"
