Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Fifi is a champion of the dragon games here, her name taken from an equally noble beast. Years before, while gathering kindling for hatchling den fires, she'd found herself face to face with a human child. She'd paid the child no mind, but its menacing companion; a sleek and muscled black and tan beast, ears standing straight up and emitting a low growl; gave her pause. The child easily ran away, as Fifi had no intention of harm, but its companion stood steadfast, almost daring the dragon into battle. She found herself awed by this creature, over time learning it was a champion in the games of humans. Its name: Veni Vidi Vici -I came, I saw, I conquered- Fifi to its companions. The dragon, feeling this was a fitting title, took the name as her own. As time passed, Fifi rose up through the ranks in the dragon games and knew she'd done her namesake proud. Both champions, both noble and stunning creatures, and her taking the ultimate title: Veni Vidi Vici (aka Fifi) Grand Champion of Maz.
