Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. This creature is strange in that she is pure of blood, has never committed a grievous offense, and is the child of two of the most powerful stripes ever born--and yet has no inheritance to her name. This is because her coloration is considered a 'degradation' of the bloodline, leaving her stripped of her rightful place amongst the royal family. But this spunky female was determined to make her way somehow, and accordingly arranged things to look like she was still supported by her parents and thus prime royal mate material. And now that the so-called King of Jade's parents have taken the bait, she simply has to marry the rascal before her disowning is discovered, and from there work her way back into power and nobility.
