Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Eve always has to nitpick and correct her fellow dragons' statements. When her mate talks about how they first met on Christmas day, she immediately chimes in "it was Christmas Eve, babe." When her sister tells her weird stories about a Stone dragon turned into a Holly, she has to point out that it really should be a Bone Marrow since that would make much more sense. When a human tells her about their favourite dragon being Sweetlings, she insists that among the Valentine breeds alone, the Heartseeker would be a far better choice.

The sound one hears most often around Eve is the gritting of teeth as others fight to hold their own vitriolic comments back.
