Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Saruka is the co-leader of her clan. She is somewhat bigger than other magma dragons, for an unknown reason. She is very mean to other dragons when they dare to break any rules, but she is extremely friendly to other dragons that aren't from her family (or clan). She is part of a powerful family of magma dragons, not in terms of power, but tough against elements of water and withstanding incredible temperatures. As she is bigger than dragons from the same species, she also needs more food than "normal" dragons. Her name comes from the japanese word "Sakura", which means "Cherry Blossom". Apparently, her best friend is Benizakura, who has grown with her since they were born.
