Nocturne Dragons are a strange breed. Whenever light strikes their bodies, they are frozen in whatever position they were in. This leaves them vulnerable and they rely on camouflage to keep themselves safe. They are often mistaken for statues when in this frozen state, but Nocturne dragons do not actually turn into stone. Rather, they merely idle until the sun goes down. At night, these dragons come to life, proving themselves to be powerful fliers, although little else is known about their true behavior.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Ross adjfd has the ability to always get struck by light in the most inconvenient moments by complete accident. Ross always allows himself to be turned idle by the sun if there are very dangerous dragons hunting, earthquakes, tsunamis, landslides, dragon hunters, very territorial dragons around or passersby who like to play dress up with him if he is in such condition. None of the clan know how he survives every time or how he always manages to put himself in such positions. Ross however tries to prove himself to his clan, making up many (even weird) solutions for his inability to stay in the sun. He does this because the clan loves to tease and make fun of him for his clumsy actions, always saying "freeze" at him if he is struck by light or giving him other nicknames. Maybe someday he will finally find a solution for Nocturne dragons to stay in the sun without turning idle. Ross doesn't see himself as a Nocturne dragon but as a normal dragon that is cursed.
