Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

SunlightBreeze is a creature of the dawn. He is always awake in the early morning hours, watching the glorious sun rise high above the hills in the distance, allowing its energies to flood through his veins in a rush of magnificent power. The drake's scales glow with light, and his wings sparkle like dew-heavy leaves. Breeze is very outgoing and agile, able to perform the most difficult maneuvers with ease. Although he is incredibly graceful in the air, Breeze is incredibly clumsy on the ground. His large wings make running nearly impossible as they hit the ground, trees, and anything or one who happens to be in his path. He finds it nearly impossible to walk for any distance without tripping over his own wings or some obstacle or getting his wings caught in low landing boughs and bushes.
