Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Peyral's swift, silent movement and excellent control over her long, whiplike tail make her the Firewind clan's best hunter. She always hunts at a very rapid pace, only stopping to make a kill or search for a new scent. Her speed and quick thinking skills also make her an admirable warrior, but Peyral is somewhat ineffectual against much larger dragons.

She is generally very upbeat, always looking on the bright side of things. She also enjoys teaching the younglings how to hunt for their clan, and delights in seeing young dragons master the skills of the old generation. Though she's rather touchy when it comes to giving away secrets to her speed, Peyral thinks of hunting as not something to compete over, but a practice that is continually being refined over time.
