Stone Dragons have a tough outer covering made of a stone-like material. They eat rocks, using the minerals they contain for nourishment and to keep up their stone outer shell. They rarely move, and are the heaviest of all types of dragons. Although they have wings, indicating flight ability, no one has ever seen a stone dragon flying.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Miss Kathinja is slow of body, but very quick of mind. She thinks of herself as a teacher to the hatchlings, who seem to idolize her, and can offer them a hiding place beneath her strong wings if they need shelter from danger. She is especially knowledgeable in lithology, and enjoys teaching anyone willing to learn about the many types of rocks. She can be very stern, however, and does not tolerate misbehavior; she tends to snap at younger hatchlings who like to climb on her and pretend she's a mountain. Only Esky, being lightweight, can escape her notice for longer than a minute or two. Miss Kathinja enjoys eating many types of rocks, but she is especially fond of gneiss and other metamorphic rocks, which she claims have a smoother, more blended taste compared to other types of rock.
