Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Eruthiawen rode the thermals high above the meadow. She was tracking one particular deer and was waiting for it to move further away from the herd. Just as the deer moved far enough away for her to strike the creature toppled over and collapsed into the grass. To Eruthiawen's annoyance, a human hunter appeared from the trees and began to stride towards her prey. She could see that the deer was only winded and not badly injured, the hunter would need to deliver the killing blow by hand, but this was her kill. She wasn't going to let him have it. Diving down and leaving a trail of sparks Eruthiawen extended her claws and snatched up the surprised hunter. His cries echoed around the field, but she took no heed.

When Eruthiawen had vanished back into the sky with her catch, the deer got back to its feet, and a little shakily, rejoined its family.
