As the nocturnal relative to Sunbeam Drakes, Moonglow Drakes are a secretive breed most active under the light of the moons and stars. They are wary of others, but are known to have incredible loyalty should their trust be won. Catching sight of Moonglow Drakes as they dance amid the moonlight is seen as a favorable omen by those they live near, and tamed individuals are common. They are slightly smaller than their cousins, averaging around the size of a cat.
Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
User Description
This drake is an odd one. He's half-blind, and, true to his name, easily surprised. The drake tends to follow around a small group of Cloudplumes who don't mind his presence as most of the other dragons in Hireye Mountain have grown tired of him always being under their feet. He has an odd way of walking and tends to stumble a lot, though while flying he's mostly fine. He can often be found watching dragons or clouds and sleeping in small holes in the mountain cave. Quick movements startle him and he's oddly fast when getting away from something that frightens him. The dragons aren't sure how he's survived this long or why they even keep him around, but no matter where he goes he always returns.
