Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

A very mellow creature ('mellow' sounds much better than 'lazy'), this female has no desire to lift her claws any more than she needs to, spending her days growing fat on her parents' reputations rather than doing honest work. His father's concerned attempts to prod her into motion did little good, but her mother's methods did the job well enough. The matriarch had no place in her clan for idle fatlings who would not serve her cause, a fact she made all too clear when she confronted her daughter in the middle of yet another feast and beat her half to death with tooth and claw. Choosing to leave the tribe rather than mend her ways, the young sunstone is now unhappily finding that gaining pickings isn't so easy when your prestige is gone. Yet there may be a light at the end of her story; her father was more than happy to offer her a hand again, his lazy daughter slowly mending her habits by his side, just as he did many years before.
