Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Dark is the Moon, also known as Dark, is a very easy-going dragon and everyone in the Clan loves him. He loves collecting strange and unusual stones, hoarding them. He sleeps through most of the day by the river, basking in the warm sunlight. One time, he had let his tail fall into the water while he slept. A Ray of Moonlight, known as Ray, had swam up and tried to take his tail, thinking the stone was merely a pretty one for her collection. Being dragged into the water, Dark wasn't very happy with his awakening... until he saw the most beautiful dragon he had ever seen. He could see Ray was embarrassed, and he thought it was sweet that she felt so badly about the incident. When she told him she collected rocks too, Dark was in love. Nowadays, the pair is nearly always seen together, hunting for new finds and sharing their hoards of strange stones.
