Plated Colossus Dragons are one of the largest dragon species. These huge brutes are notorious bullies—they prefer to steal food from other dragons rather than finding it for themselves. As their thick hides are impervious to most forms of physical attack, Plated Colossi simply ignore the other dragons’ protests, or lash the offending dragon with their club-like tail, which can easily break a limb. Plated Colossi have slow metabolisms and do not need to eat often, but they may consume nearly half their body weight in one feeding. These dragons are not incredibly clever and any discussion with them will often center around eating.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Heraklos, the only Plated Colossus Dragon ever trained by the Makoi Empire, almost tipped the scales in their war against the Kingdom of Creirn. He was more of an unstoppable force of nature than a sole dragon. Wherever he was deployed, the Creirn soldiers needed to retreat in order to escape with nothing but their bare lives, leaving their bearings behind to make time while he scoured their bearings for food.

It was this behavior however that eventually caused the downfall of Heraklos' division in the war: as he grew larger and larger, the scattered belongings of soldiers did no longer satisfy his insatiable hunger. The Makoi generals knew that continuing to deploy Heraklos was a risk, but they weren't willing to let that dramatic advantage in battle go. Of course, the inevitable eventually happened, and one day, Heraklos, no longer satisfied by his scavenged food, turned against his trainers and killed them all for food, before escaping into the wild.
