Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Zypheriel enjoys her life as a Skywing, the ability to soar without end and observe the vast world sprawling below her. Zypheriel has even mattered the ability to sleep on the wing when necessary, while uncomfortable it has saved her from having to spend a night vulnerable on the ground in dangerous territory. After noticing Animusa, Fieroun, and Sappharos free Enamore, Zypheriel has joined them in their war on the dragon hunters. Not a front line fighter Zypheriel practices hit an run tactics targeting a mage or other important individual and diving down to neutralize them, she also serves as the groups scout with her outstanding eyesight and affinity for high altitudes. While on her own Zypheriel has developed a fondness for Fieroun, that as with all subtle hints and feelings he is oblivious to.
