Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It hatched with fins instead of legs and did not seem to react well to freshwater, so you relocated it to the nearest ocean.

Its dorsal fin has grown larger, and it rarely surfaces anymore. It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Davako never liked the surface. Even as a young hatchling, he stayed under the waves. Many of the elder dragons complained that he never did anything good, but that definitely wasn't true. He always swam into underwater caves, and in doing so, his cheerful whistles bounced off the cave walls as creepy echos. Unknowingly doing so, he stopped several deadly enemies from proceeding an attack on his clan. Other then his unnoticed deeds, he is a normal hatchling. He loves to find seashells, and he storms open clams to see if they've got pearls.
