Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sparkle Splash doesn't understand what it means to be a Thuwed. She lost her Mother at a very young age and her father was the only adult dragon of her family around. She always has understood that the adults need more time out and about, bigger appetite  to fill and all.  Her father spoke of her doing great things like her Great Grand-Dame White Onyx Thuwed Draconna, and she grew up on ballades of how White Onyx's parents, her Great Great Grand-Dragons meet during a drought and called down the Locusts to feed all Striped Dragons. Sparkle Splash loves the legends and she hopes one day she will be a great dragon, but after all the history Sparkle Splash just hopes she doesn't have Slug Breath when she talks to the Gentlemen Dragons.
