Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Spartan Silverwing, or 'Winger' as she's called, is the sixth child of Spartan Carter and Silver Loron and--like all of her siblings--is a Skywing. Like all Skywings, there are certain metals that Winger can consume and certain ones she has to regurgitate. Apparently she was well-named, because silver is the metal she regurgitates the most!

Winger is a social dragon, but is rather private: She enjoys listening to others but has many secrets of her own. She is friends with all of the older adults, but doesn't really like hatchlings and young dragons very much: she prefers mature dragons. Despite this, Winger was there for the hatching of every one of her younger siblings.
