Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Its eyes glow brightly at night, and it enjoys attacking insects and small animals.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Frozen Childhood Dream, affectionately called Frosty, is a lively young dragon. Upon achieving his wings he, realizing that he wished to never grow old, asked his human companion Vampyre to cast the never age spell on him. Normally one would look at Frosty as an oddity being a rare breed of black dragon, however he has found acceptance in the cave among others of his kind. Though he spends most of his time playing with the other frozen and growing hatchlings, Frosty also learns about the first special black dragon from his mentor and friend Endless Shadows.
