Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Sukoshi Akushu is a little stinker. This name came partially from his breed and the smell of his scales, but also from the fact that he seems to get into more mischief than all of the other hatchlings combined. He steals from dragons 5 times his size and only believes that it is wrong if he gets caught. Needless to say, he doesn't get caught often and is very good at sneaking about.
