Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As the leader of the aggressive Dark Sun clan, Leto Peregrine is often viewed by outsiders as ruthless and savage. He often leads the clan's most vicious pack of sky fighters into the heat of battles in war time with other clans. To some dragons, his methods are too brutal, as he never has any mercy for his enemy, be it a war veteran warrior or a small hatchling that just happens to be the unlucky dragon's offspring. 'Never leave anyone alive that can tear your hide apart later.' That's what he always tells his warriors.

Leto is a war machine in open-area battles. With his most powerful attacks, blizzard storm and thunderstorm, he usually can single-clawedly take out a whole enemy pack. However he rarely uses his talents, relying on strategy and formation instead. He understands that clan wars must be fought with clan strength, and after all, he is known to have electrically shocked all dragons around him, friends and foes alike, as his storms could not distinguish their targets.
