Paper Dragons are not truly living creatures. They are pieces of parchment enchanted by magic, and as such, are very vulnerable to fire. However, they behave almost like dragons. The only place where their behavior differs is breeding: paper dragons cannot breed.
User Description
While many other 'false' dragons may question the magicians who deemed it necessary to enchant simple wood-pulp or foodstuffs to mimic something it can never truly be, Novelette couldn't be happier to be fluttering about the home cave, pretending to hunt or battle. It decided to show its appreciation to the unknown mage that created it by pencilling quite literally an endless stream of 'thanks' over its own delicate body, then undertaking the tedious job of erasing every single word simply to start over again. It encourages hatchlings who have in interest in learning human writing to use it as a practice note-dragon of sorts, so long as they include a word of thanks amongst their delighted scribbles. Novelette also assists the Magis in creating copies of their notes on magical studies when it isn't busy giving pointers on handwriting to hatchlings, or cheerfully wearing out the paper it's made of with its own elegant cursive.
