Sunbeam Drakes are the diurnal counterparts to Moonglow Drakes, their eggs having been laid during the daylight hours. They are around the size of a small dog, and while docile, can be flighty and easily startled. Most can be found high in treetops enjoying the bright sunlight, tucking themselves away at the first sign of a storm or impending nightfall. Sunbeam Drakes enjoy flying in the light of the sun, and their treetop dances are beautiful, dazzling, and serene.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.

User Description

Day Glories are a very pretty breed of dragon. They are also conveniently quite tiny. Thus it was perhaps inevitable that they ended up serving as decorations for more than one noble woman, a fad striking several cities in which the ladies would wear small cups of sugar water atop their heads to attract these glittering creatures as living decorations. Quite the sugar addict, this female is a much-beloved member of the breed in the city in which she dwells, as she's known to sit quietly atop one's head for an entire day so long as a constant supply of sweets is provided.
