Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
While flying on top the Sunrise dragon, Natinori, the human girl named Flight spotted Cantia's egg after it reflected the sunlight into her face and almost caused her to fall off her dragon companion's back. Flight brought the egg back to her cave near the edge of the Lake of Elgar, knowing from experienced that the egg must have been abandoned. Cantia grew up alongside three other hatchlings that were also found by Flight. After the Murdering of Dragons in the Mountains of Elgar, both Flight and her friend, Ember Nuria, felt called to raise hatchlings so that the mountains would once again be home to dragons. Growing under the care and attention of Flight, Cantia became curious about dragon eggs. When Flight brought the son of Arvynor and Usena into the cave, Cantia became his personal protector. Even today she looks out for her younger brother, as she watches him from above the Mountains of Elgar.
