Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Glorious Dark Dreamer is very unlucky. If something bad is going to happen, it will happen to him. Bee stings, falling apples, and snake bites are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Dark Dreamer. One time an eagle mistook his head for a rock and dropped a turtle on him, trying to crack open its shell. Another time, during a rather vigorous game of Keep Away with his siblings, Dark Dreamer was knocked into some thick underbrush. What no one knew until later that day was that the weeds were laced with poison ivy. There is nothing quite so sad as an itchy Black dragon covered in pink Calamine lotion. Glorious Dark Dreamer is a very unlucky dragon indeed.
