Lumina Dragons received their names from their highly reflective scales, which—at times—seem to glow. They are vain, always strutting about and preening incessantly; if one of their scales has so much as a scratch or a defect, they’ll remove it. Luckily, their scales grow back quickly, and each new growth is more beautiful than the last. These narcissistic dragons live in small groups and prefer to surround themselves with beauty. The females guard their territory and eggs while the males search for vegetation to eat.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A rather odd dragon for his breed, Immortal is slightly less narcissistic than most other Luminae dragons in his clan. Although he doesn't mind having one or two scales with minor scratches (and he's fairly notorious for getting into wrestling matches with other male dragons in the local area), he will go into a panic attack if any Turpentine or Water Walker were to even lay a single claw onto his scales. In the case if that were to happen, Immortal would practically yank off all his scales and go into hiding for a few weeks, much to the annoyance of Kimoko and the other dragons in her care. If any passersby hear a very shrill shriek followed by a plethora of panicked yells, they could tell that this dragon is in his in his vanity mode again.
