White Dragons are pacifists and specialize in extremely strong healing magic. The only limit of this magic is that it can’t bring back the dead. They only eat plants and never kill living things.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Opelesecence, or simply Opel, is the offspring of a Silver dam and a White sire. While he possesses the overall traits and form of a White, in certain lights his scales take on an especially silver sheen. His name is based upon a variant spelling of "opal," meant in reference to his eyes and coloration. He is his clan's neatnik. Like others of his breed, he dabbles in the art of healing magic. And in the interests of minding his studies, he goes to great pains to affect a clean appearance and tidy surroundings. This almost-obsessive need for cleanliness often clashes with that of his meat-eating clanmates, who are none too delicate in consuming or cleaning up after their kills, and this has been known to lead to hissing matches between them. As such, Opel is not ranked high in terms of dominance or social ability, but this does not seem to bother him. So long as he has time to sit about and preen, he is perfectly happy.
