Electric Dragons wield electricity with great prowess. Bright sparks race across these dragons’ bodies in a dazzling dance of light, complemented by the blindingly radiant sparks on their tails. Using their bellies and manes as stores for this electrical energy, Electric Dragons wield crackling magic, stunning and electrocuting their prey with a whip of their tail. During mating season it is typically those with the most brilliant sparks—an indicator of strength and hunting ability—that are drawn to each other.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Flame Shock is a dragon who is a strange, seemingly random concoction of mischievousness, calmness, intelligence, and energy. He likes to speak in riddles at times, so he can confuse his friends and his human. He finds it amusing when they get angry at him simply for being confounded. He is one to enjoy exercise and fighting and has proven himself to be a good sparring partner, though he can be considered a decent medic; he has been caught using his powers on fellow dragons to create an electrotherapeutic effect. He is incredibly affectionate and is known as a huge sap that likes physical affection in the forms of pets and belly rubs. He has an extremely close relationship to his adopted siblings, and is actually related to one of them; his cousin Pure Wind, an Albino dragon. They are both of Harvest dragon ancestry, and therefore they have smaller wings and a larger stomach than normal. Flame Shock specifically has straighter horns than a normal Electric dragon.
